In between goals from Yatton’s Charlie Ferris (2), Michael Beck and David Pierce, the goal of the game came from Captain and Man of the match Sam Shakeshaft with a well worked corner resulting in an 18 yard shot.

Despite the winning margin, the home opposition provided a very dogged and hard fought response, reducing a 3-0 half time deficit immediately, shortly followed by a missed penalty.

However, another great, all round team performance from the Yatton squad.

A hard fought game throughout saw Yatton victorious. Four goals from Charlie Ferris, two from Daniel Stokes and one from David Pierce ensured a good winning margin for the home side.

Some excellent goalkeeping from Man of The Match Ryan McMenamin, a well marshalled defence by Sam Shakeshaft, and tireless running from Matthew Thompson and Billy Hodder in midfield made this another satisfying all round team performance to savour for Yatton.

A strong all round team performance was the key to this winning start to the season for Yatton.

A headed goal from Charlie Ferris opened the scoring early on. Further goals from Man of the match David Pierce, Michael Beck and Daniel Stokes gave Yatton a 4 – 0 first half lead.

Cheddar responded with a quick goal in the second half, but further goals from Jack Crane and David Pierce made the game safe. Other noteable performances came from Ryan McMenamin, Sam Shakeshaft, Joe Thobroe, James Kearle, Matthew Thompson, Eddie Watkins, Billy Hodder, Marcus Gardiner and Stuart Custy.
